Mubara Highway Upgrading Project

 The Municipal Highway Upgrading Project in Mubara, Zambia was a 10.6 km two‑lane highway upgrade completed between November 2015 and December 2016 at a cost of USD 7.5 million, delivered by New World Engineering. It involved extensive civil works including earthworks, culverts, sidewalks, and cement‑stabilized bases.

Key Project Components

    Earthworks — excavation, grading, and preparation of the roadbed.

      Concrete Sidewalks — pedestrian pathways for safety and accessibility.

        Drainage Systems — side ditches, pipe culverts, and box culverts to manage stormwater.

          Cement Stabilized Soil Base — strengthening the foundation for durability.

            Double Surface Treatment — protective asphalt layer for smoothness and longevity
